President Declares “Total Reset” After Sealing Surprise Trade Deal With Beijing

President Donald J. Trump has done it again. He promised a “very good” trade deal with China. America has won. Promises made, promises kept.
After months of skyrocketing tariffs, tense standoffs, and economic brinkmanship, the U.S. and China have reached a breakthrough trade agreement.
Talks between Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, U.S. Trade Representative Jamieson Greer, and Chinese Vice Premier He Lifeng wrapped late Saturday in Bern, Switzerland. Ten hours of closed-door negotiations produced what President Trump hailed as “a total reset.”
Team America has been working nonstop. And once again, the Fake News media had it all wrong from the very beginning.
Details remain sealed until Monday, when President Trump receives a full briefing in the Oval Office. But the broad strokes are clear: China will slash key trade barriers.
The U.S. will consider rolling back tariffs — but only if Beijing delivers.
“This is a tremendous win for American workers,” President Trump said in a Truth Social post. “We want to see, for the good of both China and the U.S., an opening up of China to American business. GREAT PROGRESS MADE!!!”
Trade Representative Greer emphasized urgency.
“The U.S. has a massive $1.2 trillion trade deficit. So the President declared a national emergency,” Greer said Sunday. “We’re confident the deal we struck with our Chinese partners will help resolve that.”
It’s the latest major victory in what is rapidly becoming President Trump’s New American Golden Age.

The path to this moment wasn’t smooth.
Last month, President Trump stunned global markets by imposing a 145% blanket tariff on all Chinese goods. Beijing hit back with 125% duties on U.S. exports. Both sides braced for a full-blown economic war.
But Trump called China’s bluff.
When he introduced the U.S.-UK trade deal last Thursday from the Oval Office, President Trump signaled optimism.
“It’s at 145 so we know it’s coming down,” he told reporters. “I think we’re going to have a very good relationship.”
Behind the scenes, Bessent and Greer laid the groundwork. Swiss neutrality provided the perfect backdrop.
On Saturday, negotiators met for ten hours. According to Bessent, the meeting was “substantial.” Greer called it “constructive” and “surprisingly aligned.”
“It’s important to understand how quickly we were able to come to agreement,” Greer told White House reporters. “It reflects that perhaps the differences were not so large as maybe thought.”
China agreed to roll back retaliatory tariffs and remove non-tariff barriers on critical U.S. exports. In exchange, Trump is reportedly considering reducing his 145% tariff to 50%, contingent on Chinese concessions.

This isn’t just about soybeans and semiconductors.
The U.S.-China trade deal is the next strategic victory in President Trump’s war on globalist exploitation.

In his first term, President Trump tried diplomacy. He imposed a 20% tariff to deter fentanyl shipments and encourage fairer trade. The results were mixed.
Now, in term two, President Trump went nuclear. The 145% tariff was a political shockwave. Critics called it reckless. But it worked.
China came to the table.
The new deal reportedly includes stronger enforcement mechanisms, zero-tolerance policies on counterfeit drugs, and protection for American tech firms operating in China.
According to administration officials, it also opens the door to joint enforcement operations targeting fentanyl trafficking.
“This is not just trade,” one senior official said. “It’s economic sovereignty. It’s national security.”

In less than five months into his second term, President Trump has redefined global trade diplomacy. His message to the world is clear: play fair, or pay up.
And the results are pouring in.
