Their replacement? “Goliath Grouper.”

The justification? Political correctness.

A fish that symbolized Jewish resilience and strength was renamed after Goliath, the Philistine warrior who defied the armies of God and was slain by King David, Israel’s greatest ruler and God’s anointed.

The Jewfish can defeat the shark.

To replace the Jewfish with a name tied to one of Israel’s most reviled enemies wasn’t just tone-deaf—it was offensive.

Renaming the Jewfish was one of their smaller victories. Reversing it will be one of our symbolic triumphs.
